Here’s What Went down at Regular Sundays With Anthony Bila

In 2021 through Regular Sundays, guests had the opportunity to attend Fhatuwani Mukheli’s studio where they not only had the chance to see some pieces from his latest collection but could also get to know more about him; over food, drinks and conversation.

This year Regular Sundays returned to Braamfontein, guests had an opportunity to hear from multidisciplinary artist Anthony Bila as he showcased a few of his pieces and also took us through his journey through conversation with Mpumelelo ‘‘Frypan’ Mfula.

To further celebrate the cultural melting pot which makes up Johannesburg as well as the country as a whole Brooklyn Gin has partnered with Regular Sundays for its 2022 installment with the aim of celebrating Anthony Bila together with captivating and dynamic artists across multiple disciplines such as Inkosinathi Nzima, Minenkulu Ngoyi and Nene Mahlangu just to name a few.

Brooklyn Gin is made in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, the neighborhood that owes its existence to people’s powerful ability to embrace their diversity. It’s the place where people of all walks of life, cultures, identities, and beliefs cross over. It’s the place so vibrant that you feel the energy almost physically. Brooklyn Gin is all about this fresh young energy and freedom that sparks artistic energy and enables people to create together. South Africa, and Johannesburg specifically, feels like one of the cultural melting pots of the continent and as team at Brooklyn Gin we felt so inspired by its incredible creative artistic talent and so #BeyondBrooklyn idea was born. It is about celebrating young talent and fresh ideas embracing the range of cultures the world has to offer. We’re very grateful to the team at Regular Sunday for allowing us to join this amazing platform and we’re very excited about this project’s next discoveries. Join us to share the fresh energy #BeyondBrooklyn
