Take a First Look at the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Retail Collection
Virgil Abloh’s colossal presence in the fashion industry is still being felt months after his tragic passing, the Off-White founder and director of Louis Vuitton menswear immortalised by his generation-defining designs.
Back in 2021, Louis Vuitton revealed a range of Nike Air Force 1s all designed by the late Virgil Abloh, the luxurious collaborations later dropping as part of Sotheby’s limited 200-piece drop – with the $25.3 million proceeds benefiting Abloh’s Fashion Scholarship Fund for Black students.
It now looks more Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1s are set to hit retail, the monogrammed colourways expected to land in both high-top and low-top models.
Featuring Abloh’s signature deconstructed design aesthetic, the Air Force 1s feature co-branded text, quotation marks, monogrammed canvas and luxe leather uppers. There are also numerous references to bootleg culture, emblematic of Abloh’s cheeky inversion of streetwear culture. The wildest designs of the bunch are undoubtedly the two metallic sets, with an entire gilded look joining a silver toe rendition blasted with a multi-colour base.
