Praying x adidas Supernova Cushion 7 Collab Receives Release Date
Teased back in June, Praying has now returned to announce the official release of its adidas Supernova Cushion 7 collaboration. Taking to Instagram, the Los Angeles/New York label centered around a post-Internet aesthetic, drawing from elements of fast fashion, pop-culture, with underlying tones of religion and dogma, launched a countdown for the release of the shoe.
Serving as the label’s first sneaker collaboration, the Praying x adidas Supernova Cushion 7 is defined by its focus on overbranding. The heavy branding serves to reimagine the reissued archival runner, constructed with recycled content generated from production waste.
The uppers found on the Praying x adidas Supernova Cushion 7 feature clean white mesh bases accented by Three Stripes overlays and other dynamic panels. Additional detailing comes in the form of Praying logos on the lateral sides, branding print lenticular elements, adidas branding motifs and printed insoles. Elevating the shoe are white FORMOTION EVA midsoles paired with blue and translucent rubber outsoles with Praying logos. The shoe will also come complete with a contrasting bright green shoelace option.
The Praying x adidas Supernova Cushion 7 collaboration will be available August 26, 12 p.m. PST (3 p.m. EDT) exclusively on Praying’s website.
