JJJJound Introduces Its New Balance 990v3 “Brown/Black” Offering

JJJJound and New Balance are bbbbringin’ the heat again this year, as a release date for their forthcoming brown and black 990v3 colab was just revealed. A continuation of the two’s four-year-long collaborative history and their third go-around with the 990v3 after previous releases in 2018 and this past February, this new colab is the latest step in JJJJound’s self-stated mission to ‘honour the precision engineering of the 990’s performance legacy.’

This new 990v3 is centred around two longstanding JJJJound design staples: elevated materials and minimal colourblocking. Made in the USA, it boasts premium suede and mesh applications atop a familiar Encap midsole for optimal comfort. Its brown upper is sandwiched between black tongues and black midsoles, with minimal JJJJound branded hits appearing on the heels and insoles as well as on the special shoebox. For a small touch of flair, reflective material is worked in on the toe overlay, midfoot logo and heel.

You can expect the JJJJound x New Balance 990v3 ‘Brown/Black’ to release via the JJJJound webstore on May 12 at 12 PM EST, then make its way to the New Balance webstore on May 18. A retail price has yet to be announced, but it’s likely to run you $250 – in line with the last JJJJound x New Balance 990v3 drop.
