Levi’s and New Balance Team Up for a Duo of Denim-Dressed 990v3 Styles

If you weren’t able to get your hands on Bodega’s recently-released pair, don’t worry, more 990v3 collaborations are on the way. Joe Freshgoods isn’t the only one with an impending drop, as Levi’s also has a colorway that is expected to arrive next week.

One colorway of Levi’s x New Balance 990v3 features a predominantly blue colorway, constructed from suede inspired by Levi’s leather back patch and — of course — a material sourced from Levi’s Shrink-To-Fit denim. The silhouette’s usual branding is implemented throughout, while additional Levi’s logos signal the collab via a small, custom-designed tab on the side as well as graphic printing on the insole. Greenish-yellow laces accompany the pair, matching the accenting details found across the sneaker.

In addition to the previously teased blue pair, an “Elephant” iteration is also releasing alongside it sporting the same detailed upper in a darker tone. Each colorway is a nod to Levi’s signature materials and shades, that have been ever-present throughout the label’s history.

Levi’s is no stranger to collaborating with New Balance, having previously worked on the 1300 and 327. The 990v3, however, likely serves as the brand’s best NB yet, and it should prove to be rather difficult to secure once it drops. Conversely, New Balance collabs have been second to none in recent years, as the sportswear brand continues to shell out hit after hit.
