Coach and Matin Kim Celebrate The Duality of Youth in New Collaboration
In a collaboration that explores the connection between youth culture and self-expression, Coach joins forces with Seoul-based streetwear label, Matin Kim for a collection that blends Matin Kim’s utilitarian edge with Coach’s legacy of fine craftsmanship.
To bring this to life, Coach tapped K-pop group KATSEYE, tasking each member to portray introspective “loners” and outgoing “lovers” as a nod to the fluidity and multifaceted identities of today’s youth. Their unique styles and diverse backgrounds perfectly embody the collection’s core message — creativity and individuality above all.
So, what can you expect from the collection? The collaboration includes hoodies, T-shirts, jeans, bomber jackets and caps — all crafted in a palette of black, gray, brown and blue. A standout piece is the Cargo Tote, which has been reimagined in denim and calf leather and stamped with a sleek co-branded logo.
“Matin Kim has always believed that fashion is not just about wearing clothes, but a medium through which stories can be told. With this special collaboration, we aimed to celebrate this spirit of individuality and self-expression in our community and beyond,” shared Matin Kim’s Creative Director, Woobin Kim in a press release. “The street style at the heart of Matin Kim aligned so naturally with Coach’s city roots — it was exciting to blend each brand’s aesthetic and unique design language to craft something new rooted in the expressive and dynamic spirit of our community,” he added.
The Coach x Matin Kim collection is available for purchase on both the Coach and Matin Kim websites.
