Balenciaga’s “Le City” Campaign Brings Us Back to the Front Row
During this blessed fashion week break, Balenciaga is transporting us back to the front row for its latest “Le City” bag campaign. Recreating the moments before the show that typically go unnoticed, like checking your phone, greeting fellow guests and posing for photos, the campaign aims to capture that buzzy, pre-show energy through the lens of photographer Lauren Greenfield.
Starring a diverse mix of it-girls like Devon Lee Carlson, Paloma Elsesser, Camille Charriere, Justine Skye and Dixie D’Amelio — to name a few — the campaign recreates the ever-important curation of the fashion week front row. Arriving through still image and video, the campaign spotlights the Le City bag, while styling it with a mixture of pieces from past and present Balenciaga collections.
Originally introduced in 2001, the new-and-improved bag boasts a 25-panel construction, superfine lambskin and a removable shoulder strap for added versatility. Available in mini, small medium and large sizes, the bag arrives in hues of “Petal Pink” alongside camel, black, green and white.
