Creative Visionary Cam Hicks Reimagines the Reebok BB 4000 II
Reebok is launching the Cam Hicks BB 4000 II, a sneaker in collaboration with the visionary creative Cam Hicks, set to hit South Africa on 1 May 2024. Cam Hicks, who rose to prominence as Virgil Abloh’s go-to photographer, brings his unique perspective and bold aesthetic to this much-anticipated release.
Designed with the mantra “act like you’ve been there before,” the Cam Hicks BB 4000 II combines the nostalgia of basketball culture with the cutting-edge of street fashion, reflecting his journey from Virginia to the heart of New York City’s creative scene.
Growing up, Cam Hicks and his cousins rocked Reebok Classic Leathers at family reunions, and fellow Virginia native Allen Iverson was his hero. “It’s going to sound cliche, but family was the driving inspiration for this collab on the BB4000 II,” says Hicks. He wanted a classic basketball sneaker that would give a shout-out to his life before all the creative endeavours.
This BB 4000 II not only celebrates the intersection of basketball and pop culture, but also embodies Reebok’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of fashion and sport. Available in South Africa from 1 May, the Cam Hicks BB 4000 II is about to become the latest must-have for sneakerheads and street style fashionistas.
Get it online at Reebok.co.za or in-store at Canal Walk. Also available at leading sneaker retailers SHESHA Lifestyle, Sneaker District and ARCHIVE online.
