Stone Island Delivers Nylon Metal Outerwear for SS23

Stone Island’s proprietary Nylon Metal is known to be one of the label’s most versatile textiles. Made with a micro-ripstop weave and colored with a complex, double-garment dye process, the fabric is fashionably resistant to water and wind. For Spring/Summer 2023, the trailblazing label has altered its Nylon Metal with ECONYL® regenerated yarns, which are recycled and resin-treated to retain their original performance.

In the collection, the brand puts the textile to work on a number of outerwear pieces. Stone Island’s staple Field Jacket is done up in the technical nylon, fueling its utilitarian ethos on four front-facing pockets, each made with a flap and hidden snap fastening. Similarly, the Anorak jacket is equipped with Nylon Metal, centering the fabric’s double-dye formula on its trims and overstitching. With functionality at the vanguard, the silhouette features a hood with a visor and an elasticated drawstring, as well as four pockets around the waist.

Elsewhere, the collection includes a vest and an overshirt, both of which provide key layers for harsher conditions. The brand’s Blouson is redone in the updated Nylon Metal, with a concealed hood, a standing collar and in-seam hand pockets. Across the line, Stone Island’s signature badge appears sewn onto the left side of each design.
