Matthieu Blazy Debuts His First Campaign for Bottega Veneta
Following his first-ever runway collection for the house earlier this year, Matthieu Blazy has now unveiled his debut Bottega Veneta campaign.
The designer — who was named the new creative director of the brand after Daniel Lee‘s abrupt departure last year — took headlines with his inaugural show, boldly opening with a simple look featuring a white tank top and jeans. Alongside brands like Prada, the designer opened the era of the white tank.
For the Winter 2022 campaign, Blazy enlisted a number of young photographers and cinematographers — who don’t have much experience in fashion shoots — to capture a cross-generational cast wearing looks from the new collection. The visuals, comprised of 41 still and moving images, take viewers on a journey, from backstage at the brand’s show venue in Milan, all the way to the Horst Festival in Belgium and to Sorrento, Italy.
The images arrive in a two-volume publication, available for free for anyone visiting stores from September 1, accompanying forthcoming projects to mark the launch of the Winter 2022 collection.
