Here’s How Dior’s New Jardin’ D’Hiver Book Tote Is Made
Dior continues to expand its line of Book Tote Bags as it unveils a new Jardin’ d’Hiver embroidery for the Fall/Winter 2022 collection. Inspired by a Mark Shaw photograph of Christian Dior in his winter garden, creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri created a delicate pattern depicting a series of plants, flowers and birds on the design.
As an homage to the art of detail, each pair starts with a preliminary sketch. The blueprints then come to life as it’s beautifully crafted and carefully assembled by virtuoso artisans. Featuring a palette fitted for the season, the latest iteration utilizes twenty different colors embroidered on the Dior Book Silhouette.
Take a closer look at how it’s made in the video above. The new Jardin’d’Hiver Book Tote is now available in Dior stores.
