thisisneverthat and New Balance Reconvene for New 1906R and 2002R Collaborations
New Balance‘s collaborative arm finds plenty of success because the partners that they often work with align with their vision for engineering versatile footwear colorways. And one label that the brand has shown a penchant for summoning on multiple occasions is thisisneverthat, and after working on M997s and 860 V2 iterations together, the duo is reuniting this Summer to proffer new takes of the 1906R and 2002R to go along with matching apparel items.
The footwear products are the main focus for this new ensemble, and both are supplied with neutral gray color palettes. The 1906R team-up is unique in its design as it features blemishes throughout the base layer to channel a pre-worn aesthetic while the 2002Rs take more of a practical route and arrive dressed with more cleaner gray and navy color-blocking.
In the apparel department, the Korean imprint and the Boston sportswear company have manufactured coach jackets, nylon shorts, hoodies, tees and a hat that are all embellished with the phrase “The 2022 Downtown Run” and co-branded hits.
