Nike Stays Cool for the Summer With the Dunk High “Blue Chill”

There’s been some legendary cartoon-inspired sneakers over the years. From The Simpsons-inspired Nike SB Dunks to the recent SpongeBob SquarePants x Nike Kyrie 5, American and Japanese pop culture continues to fuel the footwear industry.

While the latest Nike Dunk High may not officially belong to Matt Groening’s Springfield, the idyllic blue, yellow and white colour palette certainly does recall The Simpsons indelible aesthetic.

Hot on the heels of its low-top counterpart, the Nike Dunk High is manufactured in a crisp white leather base with highlights of ‘Blue Chill’ and ‘Amarillo’. Yellow branding appears on the tongue tags, heel tabs and insoles, while the Dunk’s titular ‘Blue Chill’ highlights the overlays and Swooshes. Down below, clean white midsoles are accompanied by the aforementioned blue outsoles.
