RIMOWA and Porsche Continue Their Pursuit of Perfection With Latest Limited Edition Collab
Over the past few years, we’ve seen plenty of fun and surprising collaborations from RIMOWA. From Supreme and Off-White™, to luxury giants such as Dior and Fendi, the luxury suitcase maker has managed to bring a whole new meaning to travel.
Now, RIMOWA is teaming up with Porsche, to combine the expertise of two historic German companies.
The RIMOWA x Porsche Hand-Carry Case Pepita features the label’s signature grooved design in its recognizable aluminum material, combined with design cues from the first-generation Porche 911’s silver mirroring design.
Since its release in 1963, the car which was initially dubbed the Porsche 901, has become one of its most successful models, and it makes complete sense why it would serve as the inspiration for RIMOWA’s case.
When you’ve been creating suitcases since 1898, I guess you really know what you’re doing.
The case is perfect for storing in the boot of a Porsche car if you happen to have one of those. If not, you can pretend.
Of course, since it is a hand-carry piece, it doesn’t feature RIMOWA’s signature wheeled design, but it is still ideal for travel with its TSA-approved locks and durability. Plus, you’ll have the biggest flex in the check-in queue.
Of course, the piece is finished off with Porsche’s signature logo crest emblazoned in the aluminum, adding the luxury touch that will undoubtedly hit home for fans of the brand as well as fashion and streetwear enthusiasts.
“Our partnership celebrates the unparalleled quality of German design as we both poured our wealth of expertise into a one-of-a-kind piece,” said Emelie De Vitis, Chief Marketing Officer at RIMOWA.
The RIMOWA x Porsche Hand-Carry Case Pepita will be available starting April 21 across RIMOWA stores worldwide, as well as a sticker set. Additionally, the collaboration will also be released across Porsche’s dealerships globally, and online.
