Allow Simba & Wesley To Show you how to Style Brain Dead’s new Reebok collaboration
LA-based creative collective Brain Dead and Reebok are back, and for their third collaboration they’ve decided to rework the Zig Kinetica II. Inspired by Japanese Kaiju Vinyl Toys, it combines Brain Dead’s knack for out-there design with Reebok’s large arsenal of performance tech. This week, Simba and Wesley show us how to style Brain Dead x Reebok Zig Kinetica II
Two colourways of the Brain Dead x Reebok Zig Kinetica II have surfaced, with one that’s fairly loud and another that’s slightly more toned down. The first rocks a colour crazy sole unit that looks like it’s been tie-dyed, with an upper going for a tonal grey vibe. Adding some depth is the subtle gold patterns that lay on either side. The latter rocks mostly black, with a speckled midsole and a similar pattern along the medial and lateral, but this time in a slime green. Both pairs go low-key on the logos, with subtle co-branded hits on the tongue and insole.
While the duo have crafted two fashionable creps, they also made a point to not skimp out on performance. The midsole has been injected with Reebok’s Floatride Fuel cushioning that has then been wrapped in a Zig Energy Shell. Adding to the performative look is the toggle lacing system.
