New Balance 2010 “Pastel Pink” Turns a Technical Runner Into a Summer Standout
New Balance continues to lean into the chunky runner trend with the unveiling of the New Balance 2010 in a vibrant “Pastel Pink” colorway. Masterfully turning a technical silhouette into a certified summer standout, the upcoming release seamlessly balances a soft, delicate color palette with the aggressive, early-2000s attitude that defines the 2010 model.
The upper construction opts for a high-contrast aesthetic, utilizing smooth pastel pink suede that moves fluidly across the shoe. This softer tone is grounded by dark black synthetic sections and breathable open mesh, injecting the base with a much sportier feel. Breaking up the design, a pale green “N” logo outlined in grey is prominently featured on the midfoot. Crisp white laces and a light inner lining further brighten the profile, ensuring the complex color-blocking doesn’t feel overly busy.
The color play only intensifies across the bottom half of the shoe. A creamy yellow overlay introduces a natural, faded vintage effect, while translucent green heel pods and light blue accents around the heel prevent the design from falling into familiar pink-and-black territory. Down below, a durable black rubber outsole anchors the look, complete with additional splashes of lime and blue to tie the entire vibrant palette together.
Despite the heavy use of contrasting hues, the sneaker maintains a perfectly balanced, modern feel that makes it ideal for all-day wear. Fans of the Y2K aesthetic can expect the New Balance 2010 “Pastel Pink” to officially launch in Summer 2026 via NewBalance.com and select retailers.
