New Balance 2002R Surfaces in “Steel Blue”
New Balance is releasing a new colorway for its ever popular 2002R silhouette. The shoe originally arrived in 2010, but has now become a staple in many wardrobes. Merging retro with contemporary, the iconic 2000s running shoe is now making its way back to shelves in a newly surfaced “Steel Blue” colorway.
The upcoming color sees the shoe take on a steel blue and dark grey color scheme. The shoe is constructed with a steel blue mesh base for breathability while the grey highlights the suede overlays that hit the mudguard, midfoot, heel and vamp. The laces, inner lining, tongue branding and “N” logo on the lateral all take on the steel blue hue while the shoe sits atop a white midsole and a black rubber ABZORB and N-ergy outsole to round out the shoe.
Look out for the New Balance 2002R “Steel Blue” arriving in select retailers and online for $150 USD later this year.
