Zendaya Co-Created Her First On Collection
Activewear label On and longtime partner Zendaya just teamed up again to unveil a brand new chapter in their partnership. Introducing the first co-created collection of footwear and clothing between the legendary running brand and the Hollywood superstar, this is not your average activewear drop.
On’s design expertise is elevated through the star’s own perspective on modern sportswear, balancing both performance and personal style through refined silhouettes, color and texture. After being all over our screens this year, most recently with a groundbreaking performance in The Drama, and with a stacked output coming later with Dune: Part 3, it seems there’s nothing she can’t do.
For the accompanying campaign, a cinematic film by Academy Award-winning director Spike Jonze spotlights the creative process behind the project. Titled Shape of Dreams, the film is set inside Zendaya’s imagined design world, “The Dream Lab.” The film takes on a surreal quality as outfits stretch and transform until landing in their final form. The campaign also features still-life shots by Sean Thomas, bringing the viewer behind the scenes.
The global star and a defining cultural voice of her generation worked together with her long-time collaborator, Law Roach, to create the distinctive collection full of personal expression. Zendaya shared, “We started with the idea of making people feel confident and effortless, and we built everything out from there. Working with Spike Jonze brought that vision to life in a really special way; the world he created gave it a whole new dimension.”
The collection will be available from April 16 via the On website. In the meantime, watch the film and check out some of the campaign stills above.
