Jacquemus Reintroduces the Nike Moon Shoe
Jacquemus and Nike are turning back time. The two have dug deep into the Swoosh’s archive to reinterpret Bill Bowerman’s original hand-built silhouette: the Moon Shoe. Teased during Jacquemus’ Fall/Winter 2025 runway show in January, the French label shared a preview of the three-shoe collection last week and is back with a complete unveiling.
Constructed with a ruched nylon upper and Nike Regrind at the outsole, the modern version of the Moon Shoe strikes a delicate balance between elegance and its racing DNA. Its heritage is further celebrated with co-branded packaging that nods to Nike’s Blue Ribbon Sports era. Meanwhile, Jacquemus branding can be spotted at the tongue, heel, and sockliner.
A Jacquemus-exclusive “Alabaster” pair is set to drop alongside its “Off Noir” and “University Red” counterparts on September 29 via Jacquemus’ website. From there, Nike SNRKS will launch the collection on October 6.
