Turn Back Time With the adidas UltraBOOST 1.0 “10th Anniversary”

It’s now been a decade since adidas changed the sneaker scene with the introduction of the UltraBOOST. Beloved for the comfort that it delivered via its Primeknit upper and BOOST midsole, it marked a turning point for the Three Stripes as BOOST-equipped silhouettes continued to emerge, including the debut of the NMD in late 2015. The success of the sneaker led to many sequels, with last year’s UltraBOOST 5 serving as the most recent entry.

As the UltraBOOST legacy continues to expand, adidas hasn’t shied away from revisiting its original styles. The UltraBOOST 1.0 remains a staple in adidas’ lifestyle category and will be returning in its debut colorway next week in celebration of the model’s 10th anniversary. The Primeknit-equipped upper is presented in a textured black with a purple cage present around the heel. This backing hosts black “ultra” text and a metallic gold “boost” callout at the lateral. From there, its beloved full-length BOOST midsole is present in white as a black rubber outsole rounds things out.
