UGG Unveils Its First-Ever Mary Jane Silhouette
The resurgence of the Mary-Jane is alive and well, with more and more footwear labels releasing their own versions of the shoe. UGG is the latest brand to tap into the trend, dropping its own shearling-lined version, dubbed the Bea Mary Jane.
Drawing inspiration from the UGG Classic Boot, the new silhouette is crafted from an ultra-light sugarcane EVA outsole and sits atop a 1.75-inch platform. Featuring signature UGG detailing, like the Twin Seam and Overstitched Binding, the shoe boasts a cozy sheepskin lining and UGGplush insole.
Landing in UGG’ signature “Chestnut” hue alongside classic black and light “Mustard Seed,” the plush silhouette fuses trend-led design with unparalleled levels of comfort. Following on from releases like PUMA’s Speedcat Ballerina and Taqwa Bint Ali’s adidas collaboration, it’s safe to say that the demand for female-led, hybrid silhouettes is still on the rise and as a result, we expect to see more Mary Jane drops on the horizon.
