Netflix Announces ‘Squid Game 3’ Release Date
Gi-hun, Front Man and more are slated for a return in the third and final season of Squid Game. Netflix has officially announced that upcoming premiere for the thrilling game show, Squid Game 3. Set to drop later this summer, fans will once again feel the ticking clock for the global phenomenon.
With the second season debuting on Netflix not too long ago, audiences are in for a wild ride. Netflix has also released a set of first look images to hint what is next for Squid Game hero Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), his enigmatic antagonist Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), and more characters caught in the terrifying competition. Picking up right where season two left off, the series director, writer, and executive producer Hwang Dong-hyuk confirmed the news in an emotional letter to fans, “I am beyond excited to be writing this letter to announce the date for Season 2 and share the news of Season 3, the final season.” He added, “The fierce clash between [Gi-hun and Front Man’s] two worlds will continue into the series finale with Season 3, which will be brought to you next year.” Hwang also wrote in his letter to fans, “I am thrilled to see the seed that was planted in creating a new Squid Game grow and bear fruit through the end of this story. We’ll do our best to make sure we bring you yet another thrill ride.”
Season 3 is slated to premiere on June 27, 2025.
