HBO’s ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 To Premiere in April 2025
Season two of HBO‘s The Last of Us series adaptation has received a release window.
Co-creator, writer and executive producer Neil Druckmann told the crowd at Sony’s press conference at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show that the new seven-episode season is set to premiere this April, arriving a little over two years after the show’s inagurual season. HBO revealed that the upcoming season will take place five years after the events of the first season, “with Joel and Ellie facing conflict with each other and a world that is even more dangerous and unpredictable.”
Returning this season are Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna and Rutina Wesley as Joel, Ellie, Tommy and Maria, respectively, while the newcomers will include Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny, Jeffrey Wright as Isaac and Catherine O’Hara in a guest role.
