TikTok’s New Feature Lets You Share Music From Spotify and Apple Music
TikTok has rolled out a new feature that’ll further integrate music streaming with the platform.
The tool is simply called “Share to TikTok” and allows users to post tracks directly from Spotify and Apple Music to the app – both on the “For You” page and on their Stories. Individual songs, albums and playlists can all be shared, either appearing in green screen mode or photo mode.
Beyond music, TikTok will also let users share other streamable content, such as podcasts and audiobooks.
All of the shared content will link back to the original streaming platform where it was published. TikTok has inked partnerships with streaming services to roll out the feature. The news arrives about six months after TikTok and Universal Music settled their licensing dispute, which resulted in music from Universal-signed artists once again being published on the app.
