Nike Slithers Into the Lunar New Year With the Air Force 1 Low “Year of the Snake”
Images of one of Nike‘s upcoming Lunar New Year pairs have surfaced. The commemorative Air Force 1 Low “Year of the Snake” model, which pays homage to the Chinese zodiac, arrives with a white leather base and is adorned with embossed serpentine print on the heel counter, offering a subtle yet eye-catching detail.
A pop of red lands on the tongue’s snakeskin tag and gold Nike Air emblem, while soft hues of jade make their way on to the panel swoosh and heel tab. The sneaker then rests on a white midsole and outsole, while matching laces fitted with gold, snake-like dubraes tie it together. Rounding out the celebratory sneaker is a festive Wan Zi knot, which invites good luck and wards off evil spirit.
