CLOT Adds a Beaded Three Stripes Logo on the adidas Gazelle in “Blue Bird”
Shortly after dropping the “Halo Ivory” iteration, Edison Chen‘s CLOT is continuing its hot streak with adidas with the newest Gazelle in “Blue Bird.”
Inspired by espadrilles and the skilled local cobblers of Europe, the sneaker is crafted with a knitted fabric base in khaki, overlays of nubuck leather and complementing streaks of varying blue hues on the panel’s beaded Three Stripes and exposed stitching above the midsole, tongue edges and the heel. Subtle branding can be found on the embroidered Gazelle panel insignia, but does well without the more traditional placements on the tongue and heel. A braided and stitched midsole further adds to the shoe’s rustic look, while its gum rubber outsole offers extra traction and the tan and blue laces tie it together for a neat finish.
Ever since the end of their long-running relationship with Nike, CLOT has been quick to build on its collaborative partnership with adidas and has since released their takes on the Superstar and Samba models in February and May of 2024.
The CLOT Gazelle by Edison Chen will be available at adidas.co.za and at adidas Sandton and V&A Waterfront stores on 23rd August 2024 at R3299.
