Dior Announces Lewis Hamilton as Brand Ambassador and Guest Designer of New Lifestyle Capsule
Lewis Hamilton is a seven-time Formula 1 world champion, but now he can add Dior ambassador and guest designer to his resumé. A long-time friend of the house and creative director Kim Jones, the trailblazing multi-hyphenate comes off his recent British Grand Prix win with a special fashion announcement that names him the French luxury house’s recent menswear ambassador.
Alongside his recent appointment, Hamilton has revealed the full lookbook of the lifestyle capsule collection he has guest designed. Known for his bold styles off the circuit, Hamilton is a fashion icon himself. This collection speaks to his boldness as well as singularity. Kim Jones expands Dior Men’s modern and timeless signature and reinterprets the house codes season after season with a new capsule that is inspired by Hamilton’s own personal style. The upcoming collection is devised as a lifestyle capsule that is a symbiosis of couture and practicality. Functional attire for everyday wear that combines streetwear and outdoor culture with the demands of luxury, the boundary-breaking collection is slated to arrive in stores later this year. Taking on the winter season, the collection features a selection of pattern-centric sweaters, snow jackets and accessories including Dior-branded snowboards. The collection also marks the beginning of new ventures with Hamilton, as he transitions out of Mercedes’ F1 team, a team he has signed with for 11 years, to Ferrari, a new team he will be racing for in 2025.
Lewis Hamilton’s guest designed Dior lifestyle capsule lands in-stores and online on October 17.
