First Look at the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 “Xenomorph”
The Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 sneaker is making its return in an all-black and sci-fi-inspired “Xenomorph” colorway.
First introduced as a collaborative model by Stüssy and Nike, the Spiridon Cage 2 silhouette had its fair share of hype during the peak of the global pandemic. But since the end of 2020, the sneaker has yet to receive any new or updated iterations.
Doused in a black-on-black treatment, the new “Xenomorph” arrives in the sneaker model’s signature shape and design. As the name of its colorway suggests, the palette of this new model references H. R. Giger’s iconic extraterrestrial creature as featured in the Alien film franchise. Mesh knit and leather make up the shoe’s upper, alternating between matte and glossy to emulate the skin texture of the creature.
While the Air-assisted Phylite midsoles and rubber outsoles are the same as former iterations of the Spiridon Cage 2, the black-out execution adds to its reminiscence of Xenomorph’s distinct exoskeleton.
The Nike Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 “Xenomorph” is set to hit the shelves of Nike soon.
