Y-3 and Real Madrid Are Back With New Matchwear Collection
Earlier this month, adidas’ Y-3 and Real Madrid launched their new endeavor by unveiling a collaborative travel collection. Now before the close of the month, the two entities are already deepening their joint portfolio once again with a new Matchwear collection.
With the collaboration, the two brands once again fuse the elements of sportswear and refined, yet irrefutably functional dress codes. Comprising the collection is a set of kits, a pair of shorts, an anthem jacket, a tee and a hoodie. The kits serve as a special collection highlight featuring a purple 4th kit for Real Madrid’s men’s and women’s teams, two goalkeeper kits and a pre-match kit, which are all made from adidas’ moisture-wicking HEAT.RDY tech. Out of the lot, the 4th kit stands tall with Real Madrid’s colors.
Elsewhere in the collection are accessories like a crossbody bag, a cap and a scarf. But whether it be soccer kits, team apparel or accessories, the entire wardrobe is livened by a signature rose motif that nods to the early collaboration efforts between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto. In the spirit of newness, the two entities are releasing special edition Predator boots and Goalkeeper gloves alongside the Matchwear collection.
Take a look at the new offering in the gallery above. Y-3 and Real Madrid’s new Matchwear collection is set to release on March 27 online at adidas, in-store at adidas, on Real Madrid’s website and in Real Madrid stores.
