The Lakers Inspire Another Nike Air Force 1
The show may be over for the Los Angeles Lakers this season, but at least they can still boast one of the cleanest Nike Air Force 1 colourways around this year. Coming out soon is this new edition that is very clearly inspired by the team’s gold and purple kit, and they’re looking for young fans with this kid’s sized pair.
Despite being a relatively smaller shoe, Nike still squeeze plenty of details into this pint-sized pair. The black uppers actually feature alternating brushed and smooth leather panels, creating a subtle two-toned look. These panels are bordered with white contrast double stitching, running into a third texture via the patent leather Swoosh and heel tabs. Thread provides further accenting with the gold branding on the heel and tongue logos. An additional pop of colour comes via the bright purple fabric lining, thus completing the Lakers homage.
Hopefully this colourway also appears on adult-sized Uptowns, as many grown-up sneakerheads will undoubtedly be wanting a pair for themselves too. Find this pair in the kids section at all good Nike retailers in coming months, and stay tuned for news of larger sizes – if they exist. It’d be a real shame if that didn’t happen.
