Converse Unveils Chuck 70 De Luxe Squared in Collaboration with Swarovski
Converse has teamed up with Swarovski to celebrate the launch of its latest silhouette, the Chuck 70 De Luxe Squared — a reimagined classic that blends luxury and street style.
This first look comes just one week before the Chuck 70 De Luxe Squared is set to make its global debut. Notable design elements include the transformation of the Chuck Taylor All Star’s traditional rounded rubber toecap into a bold, squared-off version.
Despite the new design take, the shoe for the most part maintains the classic Converse DNA through its canvas upper, All Star patch and vulcanized pinstripe rubber sole. The silhouette, which is part of the De Luxe line that includes the recently introduced Chuck 70 De Luxe Heel and Wedge, showcases intricate stitched details and a reshaped octangular Chuck patch, adding a new twist to a familiar design.
Additionally, Swarovski brings its 125-year legacy of mesmerizing design to the collab, with each pair of the De Luxe Squared adorned with over 1,300 Swarovski crystals. This luxurious embellishment provides a stark contrast to the iconic upper, decorated with an assortment of multi-sized crystals, designed to offer a unique play of light and texture.
At the time of writing, retail pricing for the Converse x Swarovski Chuck 70 De Luxe Squared has not yet been shared, however, the brand did express that the collaborative pair will be available via its official site and select global retailers starting February 1.
