BIRKENSTOCK introduces two new silhouettes within its modern suede capsule this season. The Uji is a fresh take on the Arizona, crafted with a street-edge and layers of suede, giving it an luxe urban look. The Oita, inspired by the minimalist Madrid, is sophisticated and feminine yet distinct street statement. Inspired by Japanese design, these BIRKENSTOCK styles are poised to become modern-day icons.
Shoemaker Johann Adam Birkenstock laid the foundation for the brand in 1774, with trailblazing expertise in orthopaedics. In 1896 BIRKENSTOCK presented its never–before–seen cork footbed, which formed the foundation of the brand’s comfort-first design ethos. Recognised for its unconventional style, the distinctive footwear has since transformed into an “it” shoe, solidifying the brand as a street fashion favourite. BIRKENSTOCK’s ongoing commitment to reinvention and innovation pushes the boundaries of stylish, cool, and comfortable footwear.
Slip on and go in the Uji, a sporty silhouette that maximises on-the-go style and comfort while bringing edge to a contemporary classic. A soft suede upper combined with high-quality nubuck leather hugs the foot, secured by two hook-and-loop straps for a customised fit. The style is grounded in signature BIRKENSTOCK support, with a contoured footbed. The Uji Nubuck Suede Leather (R3399) is available in black, taupe, thyme, sienna red and ultra-blue.
The Oita takes the Madrid single-strap design and refines the fit with two hook-and-loop straps – one that opens its soft suede upper and another smooth nubuck strap that secures the fit over your foot. The Oita Nubuck Suede Leather (R2899) is presented in classic black, antique white, candy pink and purple fog.
