The FENTY x PUMA Creeper Returns With a Phat New Design
Just a few months ago, Rihanna‘s FENTY x PUMA made a welcome return to the footwear scene, debuting a brand new, football-inspired silhouette dubbed the Avanti. Available in a striking silver colorway, the shoe went on to receive new blue and green hues and now — it’s time to shift our focus to the latest to join the line-up: the FENTY Creeper.
The fan-favourite shoe was first launched back in 2015, reimagining PUMA’s signature Suede silhouette with a rubber platform sole. The new iteration is set to be “bigger, bolder and phatter than ever,” per the brand, so much so that it’s been dubbed the FENTY x PUMA Creeper Phatty.
Boasting an oversized construction, the shoe features a stacked gum sole and lands (at present) in three colorways: Black/White, Blue/Green and a bold Lavender/Cherry Red hue. “We took our OG Creeper and made it bigger and badder,” says Rihanna in a statement.
When designing the Creeper Phatty we wanted to reinvent the OG Creeper that was loved by so many. It’s a classic silhouette that has been missed, so its return had to be bigger.”
Echoing that sentiment is Maria Valdes, chief product officer at PUMA. “The original Creeper changed the game for us. We knew it was time to bring it back. This shoe has universal appeal and we’ve seen tremendous consumer excitement for the silhouette to return. We are excited to not only be able to build upon the existing silhouette with the Creeper Phatty but also expand our offering to the entire family.”
Take a closer look at the new design above, set to launch on 1 December via PUMA’s website.
