Turns Out, Mila Kunis Is Not ‘The Luckiest Girl Alive’ in Upcoming Netflix Film
Mila Kunis returns as she stars in Netflix’s upcoming drama-thriller film The Luckiest Girl Alive. The streaming giant unveiled the trailer for the anticipated title.
The film is based on Jessica Knoll’s bestselling mystery novel of the same name and stars Kunis as Ani FaNelli. The plot follows the lead’s almost-perfect life as it gets turned upside down when she revisits her dark high school life. The synopsis reads:
Luckiest Girl Alive centers on Ani FaNelli, a sharp-tongued New Yorker who appears to have it all: a sought-after position at a glossy magazine, a killer wardrobe, and a dream Nantucket wedding on the horizon. But when the director of a crime documentary invites her to tell her side of the shocking incident that took place when she was a teenager at the prestigious Brentley School, Ani is forced to confront a dark truth that threatens to unravel her meticulously crafted life.
The cast also features Finn Wittrock, Chiara Aurelia, Scoot McNairy, Thomas Barbusca, Justine Lupe, Dalmar Abuzeid, Alex Barone, Carson MacCormac with Jennifer Beals and Connie Britton. Mike Barker is set to be the director and co-executive producer together with Knoll, Lisa Sterbakov, Shayne Fiske Goldner and Steve Hutensky.
