Release Info for the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe “Dark Sulfur”
Tom Sachs‘ coveted Mars Yard collaborations with Nike have appreciated so much over time that the resell value has skyrocketed well into the $6K USD and up range. It’s likely caused owners to think twice about rocking them outside and either holding on to them for monetary benefit or just keeping them on ice forever. This mentality isn’t necessarily something Sachs resonates with as he highly encourages you to wear your shoes, so he’s implemented this way of thinking with the marketing of his NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe. After debuting in June, the silhouette has returned to the spotlight in a new “Dark Sulfur” colorway and the official launch info has been announced.
Unlike the model’s inaugural drop, this newest iteration takes a more vivid design approach. Breathable knit base constructions are paired with suede overlays, both of which are dyed in its titular shade. Swooshes, laces and interior liners are presented with a clean white hue while the pull tabs situated on the tongues and heels provide more pops of orange. Tom Sachs branding is located on the interior sides of the tongues while Nike branding distributes to the insoles, heels and tongues.
