Snakeskin Detailing Hits the Nike Terminator High
The Nike Terminator comeback is imminent as more colourways are set to arrive with the return of the ‘Georgetown’ OG, such as this familiar looking ‘Cocoa Snake’ rendition. This, of course, channels the memorable limited edition Air Force 1 from the early 2000s, which translates over to the Terminator pretty slickly.
The main difference here is that the model is a high-top, which means more room to work with. Despite this liberty, Nike show restraint and only keep the namesake snakeskin texture to the eyestays, toe cap and ankle tab, leaving the remainder of the upper in crisp white. Additional points of contrast come in the form of the black Swoosh, laces, outsole, and the bold capitalised NIKE heel branding. Furthermore, the brand is keen to remind sneakerheads that this model is straight out of the archive and still carrying some 35-plus-year-old dust, so the midsoles are lightly toasted to a vintage shade of ‘Sail’. While this iteration maintains the original nylon tongue, its mesh lining is a welcome modcon to keep feet fresh.
Given the all-leather build and brown tones of the ‘Cocoa Snake’, it’s likely stores will be seeing this Nike Terminator High around autumn time.
