Vans and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Come Together for a Collection Celebrating Love and Friendship
This season, Vans and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon team up for a special collaboration inspired by the beloved tales of love and friendship from the legendary anime. The action-packed collection of Lifestyle, Skate and Customs footwear, along with apparel and accessories capture the stories of Sailor Moon and the Sailor Guardians across iconic Vans styles.
The Classics collection of footwear includes various designs across women’s and men’s categories. The Sk8-Hi Stacked infuses textiles with satin quarters and smooth leather overlays decorated with Sailor Moon’s transformation brooch and bow. Designs feature a printed gradient sidewall with translucent heels and toe bumpers dressed with Sailor Guardian planet symbols. The Sailor Guardians and Tuxedo Mask make an appearance on the Authentic as a tribute to the notable characters from the series. The Old Skool Patchwork boasts an artful patch print that highlights the great anime. Vans’ iconic Checkerboard print is sported across the style in signature colorways tied back to each Sailor Guardian.
For the collection’s apparel line, the Women’s BFF Crew Fleece takes inspiration from Sailor Moon’s heroic sailor suit. The Men’s Graphic Short Sleeve Tee includes a powerful image of Sailor Moon with the famed Moon Stick. The look is finished off with official Vans and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon logos. The stars align with the Curved Bill Jockey featuring Sailor Moon on the front in a star-shaped patch and embroidered detailing. The collection is rounded off with a backpack.
The exciting drop debuts Vans’ all-new Old Skool Overt CC, the latest style to join the ComfyCush family. The Vans x Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Old Skool Overt CC infuses the style’s ComfyCush foam sculpted midsole with Sailor Moon’s portrait outlined and Sailor Moon’s partner, Luna sketched on the lateral quarters. Vans’ iconic Checkerboard appears in monochromatic black and gray tones stretched across the heel, complimented with pops of pink embroidery throughout the upper and midsole, and Sailor Moon’s iconic transformation brooch over the laces finishes the look.
Designed with a roomier, sporty fit, the Old Skool Overt CC features a rubber outsole plate for grip and traction, and overtly comfortable vibes from extra foam along the shoe’s collar, tongue and quarter panels. As a symbol of self-exploration and innovation, the Old Skool Overt CC’s 360-degree sculpted midsole offers a compression channel crumple zone, while a molded removable insole offers extended comfort.
