Dickies’ “New Prep” Collection Is Inspired by Good Old American Varsity
Dickies just unveiled a new lookbook that draws inspiration from classic American varsity apparel. Dubbed “New Prep,” the collection features both menswear and womenswear pieces that fuse sartorial style with a vintage sportswear feel.
Influenced by archival menswear and club uniforms from back in the day, the sleek collection features a range of branded sweatshirts, khaki pants and bowling-style shirts in deep green and beige hues. Signature Dickies silhouettes have been subtly reworked to include varsity-style prints, college checks and structured tailoring in both seasonal and classic colorways.
Standout pieces from the collection include the Bakerhill Shirt and Westover Shirt, which feature contrasting front panelling in menswear fits. Elsewhere, Dickies offers its own take on the classic varsity jacket with the Union Springs silhouette, available in a staple black colorway. Completing the collection is the Pleated Pant, available in a woven houndstooth cloth for both men and women.
