Carhartt WIP FW22 Fuses Baroque Influences, Scandinavian Minimalism and More
Carhartt WIP is known for its elevated take on the brand’s workwear signatures which fuse refined fabrics and rugged styles. With the unveiling of its latest collection, the brand presents a refreshed multidimensional outlook on its staple garments for Fall/Winter 2022.
Taking gritty garments up a notch, the new collection is inspired by Baroque-influenced tapestries, Scandinavian minimalism and New York City’s 90s Youth Crew subculture. With an emphasis on function and wearability, the collection features an array of pieces like the brand’s signature canvas jackets, puffer jackets, relaxed denim, cargo pants, flannels and more. As always, the majority of the collection is cast in Dearborn Canvas but pieces are elevated with laser aging treatments.
Outerwear pieces like duck jackets and quilted jackets are dipped in shades of rust, plum, beige, brown, ice blue and black. But a highlight of the outerwear pieces is a canvas jacket done up with Baroque-inspired tapestry designs. Elsewhere in the collection are fisherman-style sweaters, cotton zip-up hoodies, varsity jackets, chino pants, an apron and scarves.
