Inside the Beauty Prep of Dior Men’s Summer 2023 Show
Kim Jones brought flowers to his garden during his Summer 2023 presentation collection for Dior Men along with Peter Philips, Creative Image Director for Dior makeup, who made sure the beauty looks accentuated the surroundings.
The runway scene invoked feelings of nostalgia, paying homage to Christian Dior‘s birthplace of Granville. Jones took inspiration for the collection from a countryside garden that included workman floral sweaters and earth tones, giving a modern appeal to a classic yet staple pairing. The makeup choice for the season mirrored the environment with natural, even-toned and luminous your-skin-but-better looks.
To accompany the fashionable gardener looks, Philips went with “windblown” hairstyles on the models with a dash of edge to complete the overall look.
