Meet Balenciaga’s Newest Pattern, the BB Monogram
Highlighting Demna Gvasalia‘s interpretation of Balenciaga, the storied luxury fashion house has put together a new campaign centered around its revitalized BB Monogram campaign. The modern take on the archival print serves to update the pattern first seen on pieces from Balenciaga’s 1990s collections. The emerging graphic design features horizontally stretched double-B logos paired with a set of diagonal stripes for an interlaced look.
The BB Monogram is included in a new Balenciaga campaign centered around portraits shot by Stef Mitchell. The portraits feature Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian, BFRD, Marie-Agnès Diène and Kat Zhang dressed in Balenciaga garments in intimate settings all over the world.
Utilizing rotary print technology, clean embossing and laser work, the BB Monogram print is applied to coated canvas and denim to create a textured pattern. Introduced on a selection of ready-to-wear and accessories. The BB Monogram appears on apparel like hoodies, T-shirts, sweat shorts, caps and socks, along with carrying options like the Shopping Bag, Bistro Basket, Everyday Camera Bag, Hardware Tote and Hourglass Bag, and footwear like the Rise
Sandal, Pool Slide and Square Knife high heel.
