The Basement and New Balance Present the “Moss Green” 2002R
The Brixton-based crew at The Basement cooked up one of this year’s best New Balance drops back in April when they released the ‘Earth Brown’ 2002R. Now, The Basement and the Balance (that sounds like the name of an alt-rock album) are runnin’ it back: they’ve teamed up again for a new ‘Moss Green’ take on the high-performance runner turned beloved lifestyle silhouette.
This second effort is built exactly the same way as the first one, with a combination of heavyweight waterproof suede and textured rubber meeting on the upper, while an N-Ergy cushioning setup handles comfort and support. Various shades of green are spread across the upper and met by black toeboxes and heel overlays. The Basement’s small branded hits are scattered around the insoles, lace tips and tongues, and a heel tab aids with ease of entry and removal.
June 26 is the release date for the The Basement x New Balance 2002R ‘Moss Green,’ and it’ll mark the first co-created 2002R release since May’s atmos x New Balance 2002R ‘2002RAT.’ If you’re looking to get your hands on a pair, they’ll be releasing in limited quantities via The Basement’s webstore.
