Tod’s SS23 Men’s Collection Celebrates the “Shapes of Italy”
For Spring/Summer 2023, Tod’s is championing the distinctive notes of modern Italian style with an aptly-titled menswear collection, “Shapes of Italy.”
Creative director Walter Chiapponi drew up a range with a passion for quality at its forefront, utilizing nature-inspired, textured fabrics and dousing each ensemble in colors recalling an Italian countryside in the summer’s heat. Among the stand-outs, Tod’s introduces an anorak and parka with leather inlays, a rubberized-cotton raincoat, a field jacket and biker jacket, trousers boasting rubber studs and an all-new T-Jacket in quilted cotton.
Footwear is certainly a protagonist in the collection, too. The Gommino Bubble, a next-generation take on Tod’s signature Gommino shoe, is revitalized with a metal T Timeless buckle and a sole with oversized, colorful studs. Additionally, the label introduces the new Double Stripe shoe with a multi-layered sole, as well as updated iterations of its T1 sneakers with new combinations of fabric and color.
Rounding out the range, Tod’s accessories lineup is mainly packed with a series of leather and fabric tote bags and backpacks. The main event, though, is Tod’s Di Bag, which has been reimagined in an oversized model and can be personalized with the owner’s name.
