The Nike ACG Air Mada Is Coming in a ’90s “Light Bone” Colourway
The Nike ACG Air Mada continues its retrieval from the depths of 1994, welcomed back by a swarm of loyal hiking heads. Its rugged looks and preference for panelling has historically enabled it to display strong colourways, such as this OG-leaning ‘Light Bone’ edition.
‘Light Bone’ only gives away some of the story. This beige-slash-tan tone appears on the main leather overlays of the upper, which is then met by black twill fabric to keep weight down. Reinforcing these sections are rubberised bumpers at the toe and heel, keeping with the Mada’s intended use outdoors.
Additional practicalities include thick rubber cleated tread for grip in all conditions, joined to an equally plump foam midsole housing Nike Air tech inside. Big pull tabs on the tongue and heel are useful features too; the webbing of which is replicated on the alternating eyelet and loop lacing system.
Like the other Air Mada reissues to date, this pair also displays the Nike Regrind logo on the insoles, suggesting there is some sort of recycled content in the shoe. It’s likely on the outsoles or polyester components.
Expect to see the Air Mada ‘Light Bone’ to be available from Nike ACG stockists in coming weeks.
