Nike Expands Air Max 97 Terrascape With “Black/White” Colourway
Nike continue to expand the Terrascape catalogue with their legendary Air Max arsenal, Christian Tresser’s Air Max 97 the latest to receive the eco-conscious overhaul. Built with Grind Rubber midsoles and recycled materials, the silhouette again adopts a mesh, leather and TPU construction echoing its iconic progenitor.
Already making its way to models like the Air Max Plus and Air Max 90, the latest Terrascape is infused with sacai-like aesthetics, including off-kilter lateral Swooshes and seemingly haphazard stitching. The midfoot Swoosh has been culled, while Move to Zero insignia emblazons the insoles (highlighting the use of recycled materials). The whole shoe is made of at least 20 per cent recycled content by weight and is completed by ‘Terrascape’ hits embroidered on the heel tabs.
Adopting neon hits of pink, green and yellow, the latest colourway harnesses an early 2000s club vernacular, the DNA of Y2K fashion continuing to inspire the zeitgeist again in 2022.
Check out the Air Max 97 Terrascape in “Black/White” above that is expected to release in the coming weeks on Nike’s website.
