Everything Coming to DSTV in May 2022
It’s a new week and we know just the thing that can help you navigate through it. DStv has a host of new shows starting this week, one for every kind of TV fanatic, from drama to reality and right through to sport. There is something new for everyone!
Here is a little glimpse of what you can look forward to this month
My Horror Love Story
What happens when the love you thought was precious turns out to be bitter and painful? In My Horror Love Story we hear directly from women whose fairy tale relationships turned into nightmares. In a sit-down with the women and those closest to them, we relive the moments when they knew that their love story was turning into a horror.
Dinge van ‘n Kind
This new drama series is based on the much loved coming of age novel by Marita van der Vyver. We will see Mart navigating her world at different stages of her life: the disillusionment of her formative years is intimately placed against the political backdrop of the late 70s, while an older Mart finds herself in a disillusionment of another kind.
Two Sides documents the drama, struggle and triumph of the tour by The British & Irish Lions. In a unique twist, the film tells the story through the eyes of both protagonists.
The first episode of this DStv and SuperSport co-production documentary will air on M-Net (DStv Channel 101) at 18:00 and on the same night on SuperSport (DStv Channel 211) at 19:00.
The Time Traveler’s Wife Season 1
The tricky issue of time travel puts a couple’s relationship to the test. Follow along on this complex journey in the new TV adaptation of Audrey Niffenegger’s best-selling novel The Time Traveler’s Wife.
Enough is Enough
This new reality show is centered on people who are saying they have had enough of the toxic tendencies of their family members. Phumeza Mdabe (the compassionate host of family reunion show Abandoned) is stepping up to play negotiator as troubled individuals prepare to make life-changing decisions. It’s all about building towards emotional wellbeing for themselves and their families.
Dineo and The Purple Chef, Barney Jiri, have teamed up to host and judge the cooking reality series Ishushu. It’s authentic, it’s African, and it’s delicious fun – and it’s a great way to round out your Sunday night viewing.
Dloz’lami Season 5
Sis Thembi is back for another season of making connections with the other side. Watch as she uses her gift to bridge the gap between the ancestors and those above ground who are in need of spiritual intervention.
Stay with DStv for an exciting entertainment journey this May.
