Release Date: Heron Preston x BAPE STA
A Bathing Ape have been on a tear of late. Founded by Nigo in Ura-Harajuku in 1993, the Japanese imprint recently linked up with New Balance, Vans and JJJJOUND for various collaborations, whilst plenty of mainline BAPE STA colourays are keeping OG fans satisfied.
For their latest partnership, BAPE are tapping Heron Preston, the Kanye West and Virgil Abloh confidant debuting his eponymous label at Paris Fashion Week in 2017.
Cranking necks with his recent fully 3D-printed Zellerfeld shoe this year, Preston’s latest collaboration involves the classic BAPE STA. An early 2000s bait-and-switch Air Force 1, the BAPE STA is this time utilises Heron Preston’s signature hazard orange across the silhouette’s camouflage pattern. Implementing ABC camo patterns on the overlays, the BAPE STA comes emblazoned with brass BAPE dubraes and tongue labels on the left shoe – revealing Preston’s unique style of product labelling.

The Heron Preston x BAPE STA is set to release exclusively through BAPE on May 7.
