A Ma Maniére Announces Release Date for Its Air Jordan 2 “Airness” Collaboration
When it comes to storytelling, community focus and luxurious design, A Ma Maniére are in a class of their own among Jordan Brand’s collaborative partners. It’s always about more than just the sneakers for them – AMM use their product as a vessel to empower and engage the Black community – and they’re keeping things humming with the official announcement of their Air Jordan 2 colab. First teased back in January, A Ma Maniére’s elevated take on Michael Jordan’s second signature sneaker will drop in May, and it’s accompanied by a powerful short film dubbed Your Airness.
AMM’s Air Jordan 2 features a premium cracked leather upper with snakeskin midsole details, quilted satin collar lining, co-branded heel details and a large leather hangtag. Colour-wise, it leans upon neutral bone tones as a base, then embellishes that base with a similar shade of burgundy to their Air Jordan 1 colab from 2022 plus rich hits of black. The Air Jordan 2 is a fitting silhouette for this luxurious material and colour palette: when it first released in 1986, it was made in Italy!
Besides the official reveal of the shoes, A Ma Maniére’s Your Airness short film showcases the work of poet and spoken word artist Kyla Lacey, who delivers a powerful monologue centred around embracing your bold, unapologetic self.

You can expect the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 2 to release on May 13. Its retail price will be set at $225, a slight increase that reflects its premium materials.
