Jordan Brand Focuses on Functionality With the Air Jordan 1 High OG SP Utility
As Jordan Brand continue to work on ways to reimagine the Air Jordan 1, they’ve done everything from line it with GORE-TEX to equip it with adaptable Flyease construction. Their latest effort might just be the wildest though. It’s officially dubbed the Air Jordan 1 ‘Stash’ and it’s loaded up with packs, pull tabs and pouches. There are a lot of influences to unpack here, from Porter and Readymade to Travis Scott!
Dressed entirely in black and constructed of a satin-like material, the upper presents a stark staging ground for the Utility’s unusual embellishments. Chief among these is a super-sized pouch on the heel, equipped with heavy-gauge zippers and an Air Jordan logo. There are also a duo of snap-secured smaller pouches on the quarter panels: one that’s vertically inclined on the lateral side and another that’s horizontally oriented on the medial side. Both of these are branded with a high-gloss black Swoosh and feature high-gloss orange tabs to secure the aforementioned heel pouch and their own closures alike. ‘Tech specs’ on the left shoe’s tongue, white midsoles and black outsoles round off the look.
Take an official look at the Air Jordan 1 High OG SP Utility expected to release later this year.
