Latest ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ Trailer Shows LeBron James Assembling a Looney Tunes Dream Team

Warner Bros. newest trailer for the upcoming Space Jam: A New Legacy film shows LeBron James assembling a dream team of Looney Tunes to square up against the all-new Goon Squad crew.

The sequel to the beloved 1996 film has James replacing Michael Jordan as the film’s basketball all-star lead. Alongside Looney Tunes favorites like Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny and Daffy Duck, James embarks on a journey to save his son Dom from a rogue AI bot.

The newest teaser provides more details on the film’s plot and also gives the audience a more in-depth look at the updated cast of characters. Oscar nominee Don Cheadle plays the movie’s computer-based villain, who challenges James to take on the Goon Squad in a high-stakes game of basketball. The new trailer shows snippets of James assembling his team and playing on the court to save his family and prevent the Looney Tunes from getting deleted forever.

The film is directed by Malcolm D. Lee and stars Khris Davis, Sonequa Martin-Green, Eric Bauza, Cedric Joe, Jeff Bergman and Zendaya. It will be released in theaters nationwide on July 16 and will be available in the U.S. on HBO Max for 31 days from theatrical release.
